WHO TOOK THIS PICTURE?

The photograph was taken by a photojournalist from the Associated Press.

WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE PICTURE?

A 15-year-old Palestinian boy, Faris Odeh, standing alone in front of an Israeli tank, with a stone in his hand and arm bent back to throw it.

WHAT DID THE PHOTOGRAPHER DO AFTER TAKING THE PHOTO?

Odeh was again throwing stones at Karni crossing in the Gaza Strip when he was shot in the neck by Israeli troops. The boy and the image has become a symbol of resistance to Israeli military occupation.
