Jean-Marc Bouju photographed the worst moment in a family, showing relief, but fear at the same time. In March 31, 2003 he went to the base camp of the US Army 101st Airborne Division near An Najaf and took this picture. The man is comforting his son after the kid has become terrified when he saw his father hooded and handcuffed. The plastic handcuffs were severed by a US soldier so that the man could comfort his child. The bag on his head, which avoids him, seeing his son, was put by the military to disorient him and protect his identity. Sitting on the ground, spending their last time together, but time runs even if neither wants to be separated. Just staying in his arms, unable to look at his eyes, he must know how much is his son suffering. He keeps his left hand to his head while he may be wishing that he could become better.
